Celebs rent out their investment homes during Covid19

Throughout the nation, celebrities have been placing their investment properties on the rental market as they weather the COVID-19 storm.

Perhaps it is the unprofitable short-term rental market amid rigorous stay-at-home rules, or possibly securing a tenant is an interim step as celebrities wait for excellent selling conditions following COVID-19.

Ahead of COVID-19, Carrie Bickmore was getting $1,200 per night for stays at her luxury vacation house in Byron Bay.

But without tourists swarming the popular vacation spot, Ms Bickmore chose to record the house as a rental for $2,200 a week.

She bought the dreamy pad in 2008 for $3 million and renovated it into a contemporary escape, including in a pool and outdoor tub.

Comedian, Dave Hughes, recently placed the home he purchased from Josh Barker and Elyse Knowles at the 2017 season of The Block.

It has since been removed from the market after finding new residents.
